According to one group’s website “The recent AE911Truth tour of Arizona brought Richard Gage, AIA, to the Phoenix metro area to educate audiences about the controlled demolition of the WTC skyscrapers on September 11, 2001, and it was a resounding success.” The problem with this kind of education is that it begins with a conclusion and forces the evidence to fit. Despite the AE911truth group’s assertions, this is not the way the scientific method works.
The website mentions a number of claims about the collapse of the buildings and specifically of Building 7 of the World Trade Center like: the rapid onset of collapse; sounds of explosions at ground floor; symmetrical structural failure at free-fall acceleration and they way the building imploded, collapsing completely, and landed in its own footprint.
It doesn’t mention that every single one of these points and the others mentioned on the website are addressed in Chris Mohr’s article for Skeptics magazine “9/11 and the Science of Controlled Demolitions.” Nor does the website mention that Chris Mohr debated their headlining speaker last year. Chris’ article not only mentions it but provides links to the debate as well as other videos.
“My YouTube videos offer 235 reasons for natural collapse just like these, along with abundant videos and photos. Investigate a little deeper and you’ll find that the science just doesn’t support the views of the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth. The truth is out there and we know what it is.”
